COLIN STEWART, CBA
STEWART’s Baskets & Balloons
Tottenham, Ontario Canada
Colin and his wife, Jeannie started STEWART’s Baskets & Balloons (SBB) 26 years ago, in Tottenham, Ontario, Canada. Within 5 short years, SBB was providing large scale decor to shopping malls in Southern Ontario. Colin has continued to grow the business in many different markets including Professional Sports Teams in Toronto, major Canadian grocery chains and car dealerships.
Another important side of SBB is the manufacturing side, which produces RELI-A-DROP, a balloon drop net system. It has been sold across Canada through Pioneer Balloon Canada for the past 16 years. After attending WBC 2012 and 2014 as a Sponsor to introduce the product line to the global marketplace, SBB is proud to have RELI-A-DROP available from Pioneer Balloon Company, worldwide!
Over the past 26 years, Colin has shared his knowledge and love of BalloonArt as an instructor at several Balloon Conventions and classes including:
- Jubilee Balloon Arts Conventions in Las Vegas, Atlanta and Sacramento, USA
- Balloonstitute, Detroit, USA
- FLOAT, St. Louis, USA
- QBN - Mid Atlantic Chapter, Virginia, USA
- The Slovenia Event 2013, 2015 and 2016
- BACI 2014, Italy
- BAPIA - at 3 locations in the UK
- Tour for Pioneer, Europe - Paris, Dublin, Manchester, Nottingham, London
- Sao Paulo, Brazil
- Pioneer Balloon Canada
- Canadian Balloon Tour 2011 and 2012
- WBC 2016 – New Orleans, USA
- JBAN 2016 – Tokyo, Japan
- OzJam 2016 – Sydney, Australia
Colin is honoured and excited to be teaching in 2017 at:
- Ballongbutikken AS, - Sandefjord, Norway
- Party Fiesta - Barcelona, Spain
- IPS Ashbourne (Irish Party Supplies) – Dublin, Ireland
- Q Tour – Pioneer Balloon Canada
In addition to teaching, Colin has also produced a series of educational DVD’s,
The Balloon Cookbook which now has 5 volumes and most recently created the
SBB Education Club with weekly videos and monthly live webinars for it’s
members.
Colin’s work has been published along with his contributions to articles in many
issues of IMAGES magazine, business flyers for Qualatex, Qualatex Worldwide
catalogue, and in the 2015 Qualatex Calendar for July.
Colin has been honoured in the past with the “International Balloon Artist of the
Year” back to back years at the Jubilee Balloon Arts Convention in 1995 and 1996.
In June 2014, he received 1st Place – Best Design in the Spring Deliveries and
