2.5-days avalanche course at Phillipshaugen Lodge

This course is designed for skiers and snowboarders who would like to learn the basics of avalanche safety to become more independent in the backcountry. The course will give participants an extended introduction to safe travel in avalanche terrain and tour planning in various conditions. By the end of the course, participants should be able to make informed decisions in the backcountry and understand how to manage a balance between fun and safe skiing in various conditions.

All our courses aim to spend as much time as possible outside in the backcountry.  We believe that this is where we learn the most! The course will span two and a half days and two evenings.

The course will be based at Phillipshaugen Lodge in the heart of the beautiful Sunndal mountains. Full catering and accomodations are included in the price.

NOTE: To qualify for the Student price, participants must provide us with a copy of their valid and current student ID after payment and before the start of the course. Participants who fail to provide proof of a valid current student ID risk being charged for the remaining 15% of the course fee.
